What were your first impressions of Free to Feed?
“I was looking at everyone around me, the other people who were attending the session with me and I said “Oh, my God! Finally, I found it!”. I feel I'm really connected to the space and the people … the mindset itself is amazing. Even though we are from different backgrounds, we find ourselves very connected.”
Describe how you feel?
“There is an artist painting of a woman in her traditional dress, holding oranges as she visits a new city, New York City. This is me, I am this Palestinian woman that goes everywhere spreading love, spreading peace, spreading nice food”.
“Finally I found the place that really takes my pieces from inside me and just puts it all together and makes it in a shape that is very clear … and shows me the vision, my vision, my own vision that I want!!”
Why is the program life-changing for refugees?
“Because you're not just helping people who come from overseas. But also, you support the community around them, to understand them, to accept them and also to get involved and meet together and create one community, with harmony.”

Each Cooking Instructor Fellowship is an individualised transformational leadership journey. It costs $14,000 to provide the ingredients that participants need to become change leaders in their own lives and their community. Help the next Huda realise their leadership potential!
